Our Private Equity team is structured with Deal Execution and an Operational Engagement focused specialists. This approach ensures continuity across the full investment lifecycle of our respective portfolio companies.
A well-established operations team works alongside a number of professionals who bring a wealth of experience to AnaCap’s daily activity and includes roles such as investor relations, finance, legal and IT. The depth and specialist expertise of our in-house team enables us to perform a vast array of functions that would ordinarily be outsourced, meaning that knowledge is both retained and utilised consistently, ensuring optimal execution.
Alberto Sainaghi
Investment Director
Alberto is an Investment Director in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from Barclays Capital, where he was an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group M&A team. Previously Alberto also worked at JPMorgan and Accenture Strategy Practice.
He holds a Master de Grande École de Commerce in Management and Finance from ESCP Europe Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from University Carlo Cattaneo.

Amber Hilkene
Partner, Head of Investor Relations
Amber is the head of AnaCap’s investor relations and fundraising activities and has over 20 years of experience in private equity.
Prior to joining AnaCap, Amber was responsible for European business development at The Gores Group, a US private equity fund. She began her career with Gores in 1999 and opened the group's first European office in London in 2004. During her tenure she sourced and identified several key acquisitions for the firm. Previously Amber worked in the Private Clientele Group of CIBC Oppenheimer where she managed investment research and marketing activities.
She holds a dual Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Law from California State University.

Andrew Jackson
IC Member
Andrew is a member of the Investment Recommendation Committee at AnaCap Financial Partners.
Andrew was a Director and Co-Founder of Intermediate Capital Group (ICG). He retired from ICG in July 2003. Prior to founding ICG, Andrew worked at Chemical Bank for 16 years where he held positions as the Head of Corporate Banking in London and General Manager of Chemical Bank Switzerland. In 1987, he established and had responsibility for their London based Specialist Finance Group, which became a leading arranger for leveraged debt transactions.
He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School.

Chloe Price
Executive Assistant
Chloe is an Executive Assistant and joined AnaCap from PwC where she was an Executive Assistant for the Legal Partner. Previously Chloe also worked at Xerox.
She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Brunel University.

Damjan Stojanovic
Investment Director
Damjan is an Investment Director in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he was an Analyst in the Financial Institutions team. Previously Damjan also worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics, Management and Finance from Bocconi University.

George Pruteanu
Investment Associate
George is an Investment Associate in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap after finishing his MBA at Columbia Business School in New York. Previously he worked at Bucharest-based Axxess Capital Partners, focusing on growth and buyout opportunities in e-commerce, software and financial services.
In addition to the MBA, George holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Bucharest.

Graeme Chaffe
Chief Financial Officer
Graeme is the Cheif Financial Officer at AnaCap, responsible for the day to day financial control and reporting of the funds and advisor. Graeme joined AnaCap from Price Bailey where he led the audits of a variety of entities.
He is a Chartered Accountant.

Hollie James
Executive Assistant
Hollie is an Executive Assistant in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from Marks Sattin where she was a Compliance Assistant in the Accounting team.

Iñigo De Querol Delclaux
Investment Manager
Iñigo is an Investment Manager in the Private Equity team. Prior to joining AnaCap Iñigo launched a FinTech supply chain finance venture, where he acted as CFO. Additionally he also worked as an Associate in the Madrid-based Alantra Private Equity and as an Investment Banking Analyst at Credit Suisse.
He holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from ICADE.

Jamal Ismayilov
Managing Director
Jamal is a Managing Director in the Private Equity team. He joined AnaCap from Oliver Wyman where he was a Partner in the Financial Services practice. Previously he also worked for Nomura and the International Monetary Fund.
He holds a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Texas Tech University.

Joanna Hakim
Executive Assistant
Joanna is an Executive Assistant and joined AnaCap from Coal IT where she was an IT Recruitment Consultant.

Joe Giannamore
Group Executive Chairman
Joe founded AnaCap Financial Partners in 2005 as Europe’s first specialist private equity firm focusing on the financial services sector.
Before founding AnaCap, Joe co-founded auto finance company On:line Finance, which was the first investment grade rated start-up in Europe and the first lender over the internet in Europe. From launch, On:line grew to over a billion dollars in assets within five years, and was one of the ten fastest growing companies in the UK during that period. On:line was subsequently acquired by GMAC UK, the UK finance arm of General Motors, with Joe becoming CEO of GMAC UK. Previously, he was a Vice President at Salomon Brothers.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree from American University in Washington and an MBA from London Business School.

Kate Mellish
Executive Assistant
Kate is an Executive Assistant in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap in 2005 from Savills Commercial Property where she was a team assistant.
She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Public Relations from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Max Berg
Associate, Investor Relations
Max Berg is an Associate in the Investor Relations team and joined AnaCap from Mizuho Bank where he was an analyst in the Leverage Finance department.
He is ACCA qualified and holds a Bachelors degree in International Business, Finance and Economics from Manchester University.

Nassim Cherchali
Co-Managing Partner
Nassim is a Co-Managing Partner focusing on M&A in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from Lehman Brothers in London where he was a member of the Financial Institutions Group, advising clients in insurance, banking and consumer finance. Previously he also spent one year supporting the transaction team at PAI Partners in Paris.
He holds a Master de Grande École de Commerce in Management and Finance from ESCP Europe Business School.

Neil Slessor
Infrastructure Support Manager
Neil is an Infrastructure Support Manager in the IT & Systems team and joined AnaCap from Ondra Partners where he was an IT Manager. Previously Neil also worked at Lehman Brothers and Standard Bank London
He holds MCSE, MCSA, CCNA & Azure Administrator Associate certifications

Nicholas Montoute
Investment Director
Nicholas is an Investment Director in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from Canaccord Genuity (formerly Hawkpoint Partners), where he was an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group.
He holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Manchester.

Peter Cartwright
Partner
Peter leads AnaCap’s Private Equity business, having joined as a Partner in 2006 at the beginning of the firm’s creation. As Head of Private Equity, Peter oversees the Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Services and Risk & Liability Management teams.
Peter has extensive experience across the financial services sector where he has operated throughout his entire career and prior to AnaCap held various Executive roles across the sector including Commercial Director within a leading private equity-backed insurance services provider. Prior to this he also held a number of senior roles within GMAC and the UK Consumer Finance division of GE Capital.

Robert Massey
Managing Director
Robert is a Managing Director in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from Oliver Wyman, where he was a Principal in the Financial Services practice.
He holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Oxford.

Samuel Austin
Financial Controller, Finance
Sam is an Financial Controller in the Finance team and joined AnaCap from GAM where he was a Finance Analyst focusing on financial control for UK entities. Previously Sam also worked at Deutsche Bank.
He is ACA qualified holds a Bachelors degree in Mathematics with Statistics for Finance from Imperial College London.

Steven Gringoire
Investment Manager
Steven is an Investment Manager in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from J.P. Morgan where he was an Analyst in the FIG Investment Banking team covering Benelux and broader EMEA markets. Previously, Steven also worked at EY in their transaction advisory practice in Luxembourg.
He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the Louvain School of Management and is a CFA charterholder.

Tassilo Arnhold
Co-Managing Partner
Tassilo is Co-Managing Partner focusing on M&A in the Private Equity team. Prior to joining AnaCap, Tassilo worked in the Financial Institutions M&A Group at Barclays Capital focusing on financial institutions in Europe as well as the Principal Investments Group of Willis Capital Markets & Advisory.
He holds a Master in Economics and Management from University of Cologne and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in Chicago.

Thomas Nield
Head of Funds, Finance
Tom is the Head of Funds in the Finance team and joined AnaCap from PwC where he was a Manager in Investment Management Assurance focussing on the audits of retail funds, private equity Funds and investment managers.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master’s degree in Economic History from Edinburgh University.

Tone Wilson
Executive Assistant
Tone is an Executive Assistant and joined AnaCap from American Express where she also was a Executive Assistant. Previously Tone also worked at On:Line Finance.

Valerie Wong
Investment Director
Valerie is an Investment Director in the Private Equity team and joined AnaCap from Oliver Wyman, where she was a Principal in the Financial Services practice. Previously she also worked for Total Gas and Power.
She is a CFA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science in Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Victoria Brown
Senior Legal Counsel
Victoria is the is the General Counsel at AnaCap, responsible for the entire legal function. Victoria joined AnaCap from Linklaters where she worked in the corporate department.
She holds an honours degree in Jurisprudence from Oxford University as well as a joint honours degree in English and History from Queen Mary, University of London. She completed her Legal Practice qualification at the BPP Law School in London.
